Lyme Disease Warning

Ladies and Gentlemen — Below is an email sent by stockholder member Jack Thomas which we are posting on the website and will be including in the next newsletter.

We have a lot of older members, and younger ones, too, who are totally unaware of the danger of failing to take precautions against getting exposed to Lyme disease and, if bitten by a deer tick, not getting proper treatment.

If you’ll take the time to watch the video, you’ll be absolutely convinced that this is serious business.  Infected ticks are all over Thompson Farm.  I was lucky that I was aware of Lyme disease symptoms and found a doctor who was willing to order the lab tests that confirmed that I had both Lyme and ehrlichiosis.  Hopefully, my three weeks of antibiotic treatment killed off the bacteria, but I still have some residual symptoms.  I plan to be tested again next week.

This problem is much worse than you might think.  It can give you the same symptoms as syphilis.  Most doctors know little or nothing about it and will not diagnose or treat for it unless you urge them to do so — and sometimes not even then. Most of the time, they’ll give a false diagnosis, such as MS, Parkinson’s, or even “mental illness.”  It is even believed by some researchers to be the root cause of Alzheimer’s!

This free online documentary is 90 minutes long, but if you value your life and that of your loved ones, unless you never get off concrete sidewalks, you’ll watch the whole thing.  These deer ticks are everywhere, even in your own yard.  There are 30 million whitetail deer in the U.S. now that wander all over city and suburb neighborhoods, dropping ticks wherever they go.

Some doctors have even lost their licenses because they were treating patients for chronic Lyme disease.

This is a more serious threat than AIDS or any of the STDs.  Just watch the film and you’ll be convinced.  A picture is worth a thousand words.
